About This Course

Generative AI is rapidly transforming architecture and interior design, offering new ways to support concept development, visualisation, client communication, and design workflows. While AI can accelerate creativity and improve efficiency, architects and designers must also consider its limitations, including quality control, design integrity, authorship, and professional responsibility.

This practical course explores how Generative AI can be integrated into contemporary design practice through real-world workflows and project examples. Participants will examine AI-assisted design exploration, prompt development, visualisation techniques, and strategies for incorporating AI into professional practice while maintaining creativity, design quality, and sound professional judgement.

Key Topics Discussed:

  • The role of Generative AI in contemporary design practice
  • AI-assisted concept development and creative exploration
  • Using AI for visualisation, mood boards, and design storytelling
  • Prompt engineering techniques for architects and interior designers
  • Integrating AI into established design workflows
  • AI for research, documentation, and design communication
  • Quality control and professional oversight of AI-generated content
  • Design authorship, intellectual property, and ethical considerations
  • Managing client expectations in AI-assisted projects
  • Balancing efficiency, creativity, and design judgement
